God Awaits on the Mountain Top and In the Valley

Throughout our lives, we find ourselves on mountain tops and in valleys. That's also where God awaits us.

Life is going great and it seems we are on the top of the world. We are excited about getting up in the morning, rejoicing and being glad for the day because it is the day the Lord has made.

You sit atop the mountain, enjoying the view.

Then along comes the unexpected. Things don't go well at work. Family issues crop up like unwanted weeds. Illness strikes and you just can't shake it. You experience the loss of a loved one or a friend.

You descend into the valley.

At times like these, it's good to remember God the Father and God the Son, Jesus, also spent times on the mountains and in the valleys. It's also good to remember---exciting to remember---the Lord is always with you no matter how high you rise and no matter how low you fall.

“Valley's don't last forever... Neither did mountaintops of life, but if a person just had faith and held on, each valley would eventually end.” Lawana Blackwell (Inspirational Author)

Or, no matter how much you try to hide from him.

"Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me." (Psalm 139:7-10)
